REVIEW: Matchflick.com gave us a review, check it out: "Daddy's Home by Alex Ferrari is a difficult to watch but well-made movie about the effects of child abuse. The film runs at only a little under 4 minutes, but during that time a lot of trauma is caused. Alex Ferrari is able to make films that look like they were made for a lot more money than they actually were." Check out the rest: MatchFlick.com

REVIEW: The cool dudes over at MoviesOnline.ca gave us a amazing review, check it out: "I think the most powerful point of the short film was the directors choice to shoot from the childs perspective. I would like to believe that seeing this might even wake up some of those scum bags out there who commit these crimes every day. It's a very powerful message and one that is portrayed in this short VERY effectively." Check out the rest: MoviesOnline.ca

REVIEW: Cinema Crazed.com gave us a cool review, check it out: "“Daddy’s Home” is basically just a series of sequences in which a mother is attempting to hide her daughter, to which her father comes home and proceeds to batter them. By description alone, it doesn’t sound too individual, but with Ferrarri’s talent for conveying sheer carnage, it’s hard not to gain some sense of terror watching this. With a blue tint, and a frantic pace, Ferrarri, director of “Broken” one of the coolest action movies I’ve ever seen, is able to sum up the sheer horror of domestic violence through a child’s eyes. 3 out of 4 stars!"

REVIEW: Pulp Movies.com gave us a killer review, check it out: "Proving that less is more, Alex Ferrari’s Daddy’s Home is short – very short indeed. It’s also a very powerful look at domestic violence and it’s probably fair to say that to have made the film any longer would have detracted from its strength.
As with Ferrari’s earlier film, Broken, style is everything. In this case the style is very washed out, choppy and confused which very effectively brings the audience right into the world of the terrified little girl at the centre of the film. Daddy’s Home is frighteningly realistic and a very powerful piece of filmmaking. I’ve watched it several times while writing this review and it still manages to give me a quite a painful jolt every time."

REVIEW: Pop Syndicate.com gave us a cool review, check it out: "I was fortunate enough to be amongst a chosen few allowed a chance to view his newest work, entitled Daddy’s Home. I had no idea going in what I was going to see in terms of plotting, but I felt that I would not be disappointed. How right I was. The short film deals with domestic violence, showing through the eyes of a child the nightmare that an abusive husband and father can be. It is a heartbreaking work and to say that it affected me deeply would be an understatement." Check out the rest: PopSyndicate.com

REVIEW: The Erudite Film Critic gave us a review, check it out: "Taking his fascination with the variegated horror genre in a new personal direction, writer/director Alex Ferrari follows up the sci-fi techno-terror of his special effects-laden debut Broken with Daddy's Home, an austere and sobering look at the harrowing tragedy of domestic violence. Despite being brief , I thought the intended effect was conveyed very well. The jerky handheld camera movements, the girl's point-of-view, and the grainy resolution captured the sort of frenzied fear and heightened anguish of the event and made it quite personal since we share the girl's eyesight.." REVIEW: MicroCinemaScene gave us a review, check it out: "After a beautiful but brief opening title sequence, we're thrust into a scene of domestic violence. And that's really all I can say about it without giving too much away (well, the whole thing), but it's in-your-face and disturbing. The real-life horrors of spousal and child abuse get under my skin much more than greasepaint zombies munching on entrails." Check out the rest: MicroCinemaScene

REVIEW: The guys over at MoviesMadeMe.com gave us a amazing review, check it out: "Overall, this is a damned fine piece of work that tackles a sensitive issue in a straight-forward, realistic fashion. have to give credit to director Alex Ferrari for his work here, since it's a very accurate portrayal of abuse and how it can affect children the most. With both this and the wonderful Broken on his resumé, I can safely say that Alex Ferrari is a name to keep an eye on in the coming years. 8/10." Check out the rest: MoviesMadeMe.com

REVIEW: The guys over at ANDERSONVISION.COM gave us a cool review, check it out: "Alex Ferrari’s “Daddy’s Home” refutes the previous idea and creates an accurate and disturbing look at the horror of a broken home. The performances of all the members of this completely unknown cast are all top notch. The cinematography by Osvaldo Silvera is excellent, with his erratic camera movements and the gritty, almost hazy atmosphere created by himself and director Ferrari creating one of the most effective works on the topic of spousal and child abuse. Never does the work delve into clichés nor Lifetime Channel malarkey. He is unrelenting and drives this work right for the heart." Check out the rest: AndersonVision.com

REVIEW: Film critic Nick Montgomery gave us a killer review, check it out: "A glimpse through the terror-filled eyes of a child, as brief as it may be, is all is needed to feel the panic, confusion and fear shared by far too many. The gritty realism of the situation depicted from the point of view of the little girl shows who suffers the most from domestic violence. It's hard to tell whether or not it is actually happening as it unfolds or a haunting nightmare from the past. One thing's for certain, the film requires no elaboration as it tells everything it needs to. This film serves as a reminder for those fortunate enough to feel safe at home, that for others it's where they are most fearful." - Nick Montgomery
